Why blown-in insulation
  • Blown-in insulation is made of eco friendly cellulose or fiberglass material.
  • This is a very cost effective approach to helping your energy footprint. Many times, we are called out to just add insulation where old insulation has settled or moved around over time.
  • Blown-in is very effective at stopping air infiltration through the home.
  • Voids in insulation can create an unhealthy environment in your home. Mold can spread when there is moisture control issues.
  • Blown-in easily wraps around pipes and vents and any hard to reach areas in the attic.
  • Easy install equals cheaper labor for the hired contractor creating an affordable solution vs rising energy costs.

Insulation Removal

There are times when a complete removal is necessary. Some of these are pest infestations, roof leaks, or mold remediation. When any of these situations have occurred, the only option is complete removal once the cause has been addressed. We will remove all old insulation at a reasonable rate per square foot. You can then rest assured that the new insulation will have the correct R-value and provide for years of comfort in your home.

Adding Blown In On Top

One of the most frequent calls we get is people realizing their insulation just isn't getting the job done anymore. There are many factors that can contribute to this situation.
  • Age - over time old cellulose insulation tends to collapse and settle reducing the R-value being delivered.
  • Movement - sometimes the soffit venting up to the ridge vent is so strong it causes movement when air swirls around in the attic. We use a baffle system to direct airflow to mitigate this action.
  • Trade updates - many calls come directly behind HVAC updates or other utilities. When other contractors have to perform work, the first thing they do is move insulation around to get to their purpose. Rarely do they put it back.
  • HVAC inspection - many times it starts with an HVAC inspection determining their system is working as designed but the insulation is not performing. They will advise us as a next step.
This is one of the most practical approaches to reducing energy cost. Choose your R-value and we will deliver R-30 to R-38 and beyond to solve your issue and get that system performing on all fronts.
